Generate a Canadian nanny / caregiver pay stub (province-aware sample)
Free interactive pay stub template for Canada: pick a province, enter the pay period and gross wages, and preview CPP, EI, and tax lines (QPP and QPIP in Quebec). Email unlocks a PDF for employment records — not remittance software, and not a proof-of-income mill.
Informational estimate only. Not tax advice. Not a CRA remittance, T4, or official form. Do not use this generator to fabricate income.
A Canadian pay stub template for nanny and caregiver employers
Head-term “pay stub generator” results are full of instant PDF mills. This page is for families who already employ (or are about to pay) a nanny or caregiver in Canada and need a sample wage statement with the right statutory line names. It is a pay stub template Canada households can fill in the browser, then keep for their records.
Outside Quebec the employee stub shows CPP, EI, federal income tax, and provincial income tax. In Quebec the same wizard prints QPP, QPIP, EI at the Quebec rate, federal tax, and Quebec tax (the bulletin de paie pattern). Figures are 2026 planning estimates without TD1 claim codes. Paste PDOC (or Revenu Québec) amounts on the deductions step when you have them.
Nannies and caregivers directed by the family are typically employees, not contractors. Generating a sample stub does not register a CRA payroll account. See

A household wage statement should identify the employer and employee, the pay date, the pay-period dates, hours and wage rates when the work is hourly, gross earnings, each deduction on its own line (CPP or QPP, EI, QPIP in Quebec, and income tax), and net pay. Provincial employment standards add details such as the employer address in British Columbia. This generator is a sample for your employment records, not an official CRA form.
How do CPP and EI show on a household pay stub?
Outside Quebec, employee Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Employment Insurance (EI) premiums appear as separate deductions from gross pay. In Quebec the pension line is QPP, EI uses the Quebec rate, and QPIP is added. The family still owes employer CPP/EI (or QPP/QPIP) on top of net pay. Amounts here are 2026 planning estimates — confirm them in the CRA Payroll Deductions Online Calculator before you remit.
Is it legal to generate a pay stub for my nanny or caregiver?
Yes, when you are the household employer and the stub reports wages you actually paid (or will pay) your employee. Canadian families are expected to give a wage statement on payday. It is not legal to fabricate income or to use a stub to deceive a landlord, lender, or other third party.
Does this nanny pay stub generator replace CRA remittances or a T4?
No. Creating a sample statement does not register a payroll program account, remit CPP/EI, or issue a T4 or RL-1. Use CRA PDOC (and Revenu Québec tools in Quebec) to verify deductions, then remit on schedule. RoostPay calculates household payroll and prepares T4s for you to submit to the CRA.
What is different on a Quebec nanny pay stub?
Quebec statements (bulletins de paie) list QPP instead of CPP, add QPIP, keep EI at the Quebec employee rate, and split federal tax (CRA) from Quebec provincial tax (Revenu Québec). This wizard switches those labels when you select Quebec. Verify figures with Revenu Québec as well as CRA PDOC.
Do I need my nanny’s Social Insurance Number for this tool?
No. The public generator never asks for a SIN. You may enter an optional workplace employee ID. Keep SINs in your private payroll records, not in a marketing tool.
