The Contracts screen lists every employment agreement in your household and lets you open the generated contract document for any of them.
1. Open the Contracts list
From Household management (or the Employee Manager quick action on Home), you’ll see the same list of caregivers and their agreements under the Contracts title.
Each row shows:
- The caregiver’s name.
- A status chip: Draft (not yet sent), Pending (awaiting employee acceptance), Sent (sent to employee, awaiting signature), Active (both parties have signed), or Completed (archived contract). If the caregiver hasn’t linked their RoostPay account yet, the row shows Invite pending instead.
- A subtitle of Payroll, contract & TD1 once linked, or a note that RoostPay is waiting for the caregiver to join.
If you have no employees or contracts yet, you’ll see “No contracts found” along with an Add employee button.
2. Add a new employee from this screen
- Tap Add employee at the top of the list.
- This takes you to the “How would you like to add your caregiver?” screen — see the Adding a Caregiver article.
3. View a generated contract
- Tap any row in the list to open that caregiver’s record or contract.
- If a contract has been generated, RoostPay opens a read-only view titled Contract, showing the full contract text.
- If the contract exists only as an uploaded PDF (from the manual entry flow), RoostPay opens that PDF directly instead.
Note: If no contract document has been generated yet for that agreement, you'll see "No contract document is available for this agreement yet." Generate one from the contract wizard first.
Edge cases
- Error loading contracts: shown if the list can’t load. Try again.
- Delete pending hire: if you started adding an employee who never joined RoostPay (status Invite pending, Draft, or Pending), a trash icon appears next to that row so you can remove the hire. This isn’t available once the caregiver has linked their account.
