When you change a caregiver’s pay rate, you sign the wage amendment addendum first, before your caregiver signs. This article covers that signing step, which opens automatically after you submit a wage amendment.
1. Review the document
- After tapping Continue to sign on the wage amendment form, RoostPay opens Review & Sign showing the full addendum text.
- Scroll through the entire document. A progress bar at the top fills in as you scroll. If you haven’t scrolled to the end, you’ll see a reminder banner: “Please read the entire contract before signing.”
- Once you’ve reached the bottom, tap Sign Now.
2. Complete the electronic signature
A sheet titled Electronic signature opens with:
- Full legal name — enter your name exactly as on your government-issued ID. RoostPay requires at least a first and last name.
- Optional: draw your signature — draw your signature in the box if you’d like, or leave it blank to use a typed signature based on your legal name.
- A consent statement confirming you’ve read and understood the addendum and agree to be legally bound by its terms electronically. Check the box to acknowledge it.
- Tap Sign contract.
3. Confirmation
Once your signature is recorded, RoostPay shows “Sent for employee signature” with a note that your caregiver will be notified to review and sign the wage amendment. Tap Done to return to Home.
Your caregiver then receives a notification to review and sign the same addendum. Once they sign, you’re notified and the new rate takes effect from the amendment’s effective date.
Edge cases
- Enter at least first and last name: shown if you type only one name in the legal name field.
- Legal name is required: shown if you leave the legal name field blank.
- Leaving this screen before signing discards your wage amendment draft — you’ll need to start the wage amendment again from Household management.
- Could not sign in: if signing fails because your session may have expired, try signing out and back in, then try again.
